Having attended two SEND schools during his youth, Carl has invaluable lived experience when it comes to connecting with children and young adults across the SEND spectrum. His story resonates with anyone who has been overlooked or underestimated due to their neurodiversity, disability, or any other factor in their background.
In addition to having spoken at a range of schools across the North of England, Carl's role as a Trustee Governor at Chaigeley School in Warrington means he has a detailed knowledge of the opportunities and challenges for both staff and students in the sector. Over the last 30 years, Carl has also fundraised extensively for the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS), the organisation that supported him during his formative years.
